We ordered the shrimp and tender baskets, and they did NOT disappoint! Everything was so flavorful and well seasoned. The only thing better than the amazing food was the staff! Serena, our server, was such a delight. So incredibly kind and helpful. Luis, her uncle and chef, did a wonderful job. They both were extremely attentive. We always try out family businesses and just like the hush puppies they did not disappoint! Hush puppies, shrimp basket, and chicken tenders, all highly recommended!

Outstanding food! Family owned and run, welcoming atmosphere. Lou was super nice and engaging. Catfish nuggets were our #1. Delicious house dipping sauce. Mac and cheese was a highlight.

Food was delicious, reminds me of a place back in KC where they took the time and put love into making the food. Everything was hot and fresh, took about 15 minutes to get the food but well worth the wait! Garlic parm was the sauce in the picture. I would also recommend the lemonade!

And the food was great, the mac and cheese is on point, and the sandwich was fresh, juicy and season to perfection. They were very accommodating, we had a large party of the 25 they took all our orders got our drinks did it in a very timely. Not to mention they had other customers besides us, as well as doordash orders as well. They made it feel personal and not transactional, call we felt like family. Next time we are here we will definitely stop by here, which will be tomorrow as well. 😀

Went here with the family for dinner after a long day at the convention center, and it did not disappoint. Relaxed environment, great service, and the food was incredible. I got the classic chicken sandwich and it was huge. We also got a special of fried catfish bites, and they were delicious too.

I came here because the reviews were good and it looked like an hole in the wall location which is usually a good sign. It was in this case! Ordered the Carla’s House sandwich and it came with fries. Wait time was 15 minutes approximately and enjoyed some lite tv and rb music. Owners or one the workers kids came in and were very well behaved. Probably wouldn’t have noticed them if I hadn’t been just waiting for a to/go order. Another great sign since they seem to have great family values. Food was crisp, savory and a good spice. Not overbearing and definitely juicy. Fries seasoned as well. I think I hit a local goldmine in fried chicken. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back and try something else.

My Mom and I stopped by for lunch and had an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and attentive, we never felt rushed to make a decision or neglected to be checked up on. We started off with the hot honey shrimp as I’ve never had that flavor on shrimp before. It was hot and fresh and the shrimp was meaty! I had the 2pc whiting with Mac and cheese and yams. DELICIOUS! The Mac was cheesy, flavorful, and the yams were the perfect amount of sweet and didn’t have too much nutmeg which is always a plus for me. The fish was well seasoned and fried perfectly so it had a nice crunch. Nothing beats a hot piece of fish on white bread and they have some of the best. I can’t wait to come again!
